We have two kinds of lessons. One is class lessnon and the other is free training. Both lessons are taken by Japanese. There are two trainers who can understand English.
Class lessons are geared toward beginners and intermediate students. You train as a group along with other students. For example, we’d start with warm-up, go over certain basic techniques, then shift to mitt or sandbag work then partner exercise (light sparring) and end with fitness exercise.
Individual lessons are geared toward intermediate and advanced students. The student trains highly autonomously with the support of the trainer. For example, the student would warm-up (e.g. jump rope), shadow box, work on the sandbag, mitt work with the instructor, technical sparring (if an opponent of similar level is in attendance), then end with conditioning and/or weight training (e.g. we have up to 130kg of bench weights).
